Lisa was a preschool teacher for a number of years. In fact, she met her long-time friend Sharman, whom she later persuaded to join the Make Piece program, when she taught Sharman's daughter. Lisa had to stop working as a result of a severe fall at her school, followed by an automobile accident.
Finding Make Piece gave Lisa an outlet for her creativity and energy. She has made a number of wonderful pieces and is now teaching jewelry-making to others through our organization. "I love to include a heart-shaped bead or toggle in each of my pieces. In fact, my motto has become "designs for the body that always touch the heart." And I also love teaching other women. It's been a wonderful experience sharing what I've learned and watching the excitement grow." |
