Doris worked in the construction industry for many years until disability forced her retirement. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise because it allowed her to start working on her life-long ambition to be an artist.
In addition to the jewelry designing which she's thoroughly mastered through Make Piece, Doris makes wonderful wood sculptures, interesting collages and colorful wall hangings. Doris also has an inventive mind and is designing portable shelters that could be used in disaster zones. We'd say Doris is well on her way toward fulfilling her dream. Her motto is "making art, creating beauty and praising God..." |
